A lot has happened at Spilsby Sessions House in 2025.

Planning permission was granted in July enabling us to start on site with Messenger Construction.

The major works which started then, were on the roofs, in order to repair the damage and ensure the winter weather would not cause any more internal damage.

A lot of windows have also either been replaced or restored in the building, to help during the winter weather, but also to prevent any further damage to the existing frames which are yet to be restored.

Spilsby Sessions House project also secured extra funding this year from Historic England with Heritage at Risk funding in August. This extra £1.006 million has allow major conservation works to the various roofs throughout the building as well as the works to windows mentioned.

2026 will continue to see works progress on the Sessions House. Works scheduled for 2026 include, finishing roofing, external brick works, internal layout changes, works to internal ceilings, toilet installation and much more, with the hope of opening in the spring of 2027

Merry Christmas from everyone at Spilsby Sessions House and Spilsby Sessions House Project team
