Although you might not see much happening onsite right now, we’re actively working to safeguard the historic building from further decay. The design team is also busy behind the scenes, preparing for planning and listed building applications later this year.
We continue to conduct intrusive surveys to assess the current condition of the structure, walls, windows, cladding, and roof. Scaffolding has been installed to facilitate these inspections, allowing the conservation structural engineers and the wider design team to provide informed advice on the building’s condition and propose remedial works to safeguard its structure for years to come. Additionally, we’ve conducted below-ground drainage, acoustic, timber, and bat surveys to inform the scope of works and support the planning and listed building applications.
To ensure safety, we’ve put up hoarding around the building. This will remain in place while the final designs and full specifications of works are completed to safeguard this historic asset for the local community.
